DAD OS

Can systems thinking help a parent show up more intentionally without turning a child into a metric?

DAD OS began as a massive printable operating manual: 14 sections, 200 conversation playbooks, 40 progressive challenges, 440 activities, planning systems, sibling development and reflection. The current product turns that depth into a low-friction field guide. The system prompts the parent; the relationship remains the point.

LIVEDAD OS: PORTFOLIO-NATIVE FIELD GUIDE

DAD OS now lives directly in the Side Quest rather than requiring a separate website. The source repository remains the deep content archive.

01 / PRODUCT EVOLUTION

From binder to field guide

The original artifact optimized for completeness. The new interface optimizes for use: age, available time, parent energy and intent collapse a large reference library into one concrete thing worth doing now. The full binder remains the deep source behind the interface.

02 / DESIGN PRINCIPLE

Notice, don’t score

Earlier versions emphasized dashboards and child-development metrics. The revised system puts accountability on the parent instead: presence, listening, repair and memory. Private field notes preserve moments without requiring a child performance score.

03 / ARCHITECTURE

Portfolio as access point

JaredVogler.com is now the application access surface. The DAD repository remains the deep content source of truth; the Side Quest carries the low-friction field-guide interaction directly, so a separate DAD website is not required.
